Partnering with CUHK Press, the Film Project Team produced a Chinese scholarly book based on “Metamorphosis of the Bay Area.” The volume consolidates research insights from the project and includes a QR code to the 90‑minute documentary, extending the film’s academic reach and public impact through an accessible print format.
The documentary “Metamorphosis of the Bay Area”, directed by Ding Cheng, premiered at the University of Hong Kong in summer 2025. Focusing on the Pearl River Delta, the film is based on over 40 years offield research in South China and explores the region’s transformation and evolution as a world shaped by water.

Small Grants Scheme
